Ministry spotlight - The Walk

This week's spotlight will take a look at a ministry off campus. Held every Wednesday at 9:00 p.m., The Walk is located at Sevier Heights Baptist Church about 10 minutes from UT campus on Alcoa Highway.

According to its Web site, The Walk is a college and young adult worship gathering. Its goal is to change the way students view church:

"While we are speaking to issues that directly affect college-aged students and young adults, The Walk is designed so that anyone of any age is welcome to come. We will never ask for an ID. It is more than just an hour of worship and teaching on Wednesday nights. We’re praying that Knoxville’s college and young adult population will experience the church as it was created to be - a reflection of the purpose and personality of Jesus Christ. Come and see."
Missed a service? Want to see what it's like? The Walk has an archive of past sermons and podcasts featured on its site.

The Walk is one component of the programs offered at Sevier Heights. The other programs include:
  • The Crawl - Held on Sunday mornings from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This service is dedicated to worship and Bible study.

  • Small Groups - These groups are made up of six to eight individuals, held Sunday through Thursday at various times. To join a small group, you can contact info@insidethewalk.com
